How to delete master data using transaction SE16n

How to delete master data using transaction SE16n

Problem: You might have master data on infotype 0000 and 0001 that SAP may not allow you to delete using transaction PA30.

Solution:

1)    Check the duplicate record dates on infotype 0001 and 0000

2)    Go to transaction SE16n

3)    Enter the table name like PA0001

4)    Enter the PERNR

5)    In the command box, enter &SAP_EDIT and hit enter, you will see a message at the bottom.

6)    Now click on execute and you will see all the edit buttons.

Benchfolks IT Tech Expo

Recently benchfolks.com, a IT job seeker and employer based website organized a tech expo at wood bridge, New Jersey.  I am pleased to announce that I was invited to be on the IT panel to talk about SAP.  The other panel members represented other technologies like QA, Business Analyst, .Net, Java and Oracle ERP.  There were around 150 people who attended this event and being this the first time that this event was organized by benchfolks,  I think, it was a success.

I was asked questions on 1) why SAP is a high paying job  2) Is SAP Certification a must for beginners   3) What is the importance of clean data

It was a great experience both on personal and company level.  Perfect Resources got some great exposure.

4 Benefits of eLearning

I recently subscribed to the Supplier Spotlight and entered a contest by writing an article.   The winner gets one month free advertisement on the Supplier Spotlight webpage.  Currently I am holding the Number 1 position in the contest and I still need some more votes to stay there.  The contest ends on 26th of February, 2013.  Please vote for me and here is the link..

http://thesupplierspotlight.wordpress.com/2013/02/12/entry-3-4-benefits-of-elearning/

Instead of firing employees, organizations should fire-up their employees’ drive to improve the skills that contribute towards their company’s growth. This can be accomplished through any number of low-cost, customized eLearning tools.

Here are 4 reasons eLearning can help improve your existing employees:

Faster (and Better) Retention: When it comes to technical learning, it’s been proven that the attention span of a student sitting in a training classroom lasts for only 20 minutes—that’s it. With eLearning, they take control of their own learning, thereby taking a more active role in the process, which greatly improves retention.

Convenience: With any kind of eLearning, it goes without saying you can do it anywhere, you can learn from the comfort of home or at the office. And, instead of a set class time & duration, you can come back and practice as many times you want. They can even log on anywhere in the world—all they need is a computer and an internet connection.

Flexibility: The student can pause, playback, or complete the lesson from anywhere, at any time. There’s no rush or requirement that they should be sitting in front of the computer from start to finish.

Self-Financing: There’s only a one-time build cost. The organization can use it as many times as they want. The more you use it, the more money you save.
Of course, the benefits to your organization can go way beyond the four I’ve listed here. Because with customized eLearning you can train new employees without taking time away from other employees, paying for any external classroom training becomes unnecessary, and all process-specific learning is standardized across your organization.

So instead of laying employees off, you can make them better–and your company, too.

SAP HR Navigation

How to find the SAP Logon icon - If this is your first time using the SAP system, you will need to double click on this icon.  Now you might not find this icon on your desktop, don't worry.  Click on Start --> Programs --> SAP Front end and you should now be able to see this icon.  Now, drag this icon to your desktop for easy access the next time you would like to log back into SAP again.

When you double click on the above SAP Logon icon, the SAP logon pad will open up.  If this is your first time, you will need to set up the system entry properties.  Click on new item button on the bottom right hand side and enter the description, application server, system number and system id.  All of these information you can get it from your basis team.  Click on next to proceed.  You should now see your system entry in the light blue box.  Select the system and click on log on.

You will be directed to the username and password screen.  If this is your first time, you will enter the password that was given to you by the basis team.  SAP will prompt you to enter your own password twice.  Once you have changed your password, write it down and remember it.

Congratulations, you have now successfully logged into SAP.
